This page has two parts: what the Lumenkorn app does with your data, and the privacy policy of this website.

The app

Lumenkorn has no account, no cloud and no usage statistics. Your photos, the catalog, your edits and all AI results stay on your computer. Lumenkorn only writes to your photo folders when you ask it to (export, merge results, deleting rejected photos).

The app connects to the internet only in these cases:

• Update check: shortly after starting, Lumenkorn asks GitHub once whether a new version is out. Like any web request, this tells GitHub your IP address.
• AI downloads: only when you click the button for it, the AI runtime and models are downloaded from the sources named in the README (GitHub, Hugging Face, OpenCV). Nothing about your photos is sent.
• Map and place names: map images come from OpenStreetMap (tile.openstreetmap.org), place search and place names from Nominatim (nominatim.openstreetmap.org). To find place names, the coordinates of your photos are sent, rounded to about 100 m and bundled per town. Settings → General → Map and place names switches this off completely; the map in the photo album still works because it is built in.

The interface for AI agents (MCP) is off by default. When switched on, only programs on your own computer can connect.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Cloudflare Pages). When you open a page, your browser sends technical data that Cloudflare processes to deliver the page and to protect it against attacks: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser type and the referring page. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Details: Cloudflare privacy policy.

No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking and loads nothing from other servers; fonts and images come from this website itself. If you switch the language, your choice is stored in your browser's local storage (lang) so the start page does not switch back. It never leaves your browser and you can delete it at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your personal data, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
